Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. chapter members. There are three categories of activities, all activities are identified as follows:
Closed events are those chapter events which are open to chapter members and one guest per member.
Member events are events that are open only to H.O.G. members
Open events are those chapter events which are open to chapter members, national H.O.G. members and other guests as desired.
If you are interested in becoming a H.O.G. chapter member, contact Great Northwest Harley Owners Group.
Chapter Rides are usually scheduled for the first Saturday and the third Sunday of each month. There are exceptions, so check the HOG Call newsletter or visit this website for updates and details.
Note: Non-GNWHOG chapter events that may be of interest to members are occasionally listed here and are shown: italicized and in this color.
Note: RC = Road Captain, RCIT = Road Captain in Training
P&P are Prince and Princess rides sponsored by LOH. These are skills workshop type rides, usually in a parking lot where we won't run into cars and drivers who don't understand. P&P is for all riders. Skills include emergency stops, s- l- o- w ride (no feet down) circles (turns) or any skill you feel needs to be improved on. As weather improves we may change when and where we go.

on a fun local ride to clear out your mind & body from the hectic
holiday activities and to start off the new year with a resolution to
ride more in 2008. There will be a nice comfortable stop somewhere for
lunch but dress warm!

Tues - Resolution Ride VII
This year is a pass. After 7 years Dave is choosing to NOT organize
the Resolution Ride. If the weather stays the same as it is now it won't
be to good. Dave has sent the Camano Island cruise directions, and 11am
would be a good start time from the Lynnwood Cycle Barn store if you choose to
try it.

Ride - Blue Patch Ride - 10:00 am HDofS Departure
Joyce (Primary) and
Dee (Sweep) will go in whatever direction there is blue sky, even if
it’s just a patch but this is certainly weather dependant since it is
January after all but if there is blue sky and above freezing
temperatures, they’ll head toward the blue and make sure to include a
lunch stop somewhere.

The GNW-HOG Membership Renewal dinner (and pie-throwing contest) will be held on
January 12th. It will run from 6PM until 9PM (or a bit later) and it is
the best chance to renew your membership in our fine group! The dealership is
planning a great dinner, entertainment, games and general goofiness.......cause
we're all so goofy. Miss Harley-Davidson of Seattle, Sabrina, will be
there for conversation and pictures, and Caitlin and the Events Committee are
coming up with some truly wacked out games! There will be an email and/or
mailer out soon, to let everyone know about the event and to RSVP. This event is
for GNW-HOG members only (sorry no guests).

what Hells Canyon he is talking about? Bring a warm drink & snacks for

This is a
rain or shine event, bring a Bunny (or scarf or dew rag) to give to a child. If
they seem more interested in your motorcycle than the Bunny, that’s ok, after
you’ve gone, they will remember “who” gave them that bunny and every detail
about that motorcycle you were riding. This is a ride you really don’t want to
miss!

read it right, poop. But, who's Chuck?
Well,
Susan (Primary) and Rick (Sweep) will be taking you on this ride, a combo of the
traditional "Poop and Pansy" and the member requested Chuckanut Drive. There
will be some flower viewing and poop avoidance, followed by a cruise
up
Chuckanut Drive. Somewhere along the way there will be a stop for lunch. Prior
to the ride a new hand signal will be devised to indicate poop on the road so
you don’t drive over it. :) This will be a fun ride but be advised that your
RC's may have some shenanigans up their pipes! See you there!

Have you ever
been to the Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiast’s museum in Georgetown? If not, Jeff
will take you there. This will be on a Wednesday evening so you’ll be traveling
in southbound I-5 rush hour traffic but hey, once you get there, what a treat to
see those motorcycles and what an adventure getting there. Hope you can join
Jeff to the VME.

gone before, I need say another word because I know you’re already planning to

if you haven’t been to Mount
Saint Helens, this is your chance. If you like a long day of riding with just

can deliver! This has a lot of miles on the freeway but once off the
freeway, the scenery is awesome!

This will be a
long days ride with Rick aka Doc (Primary) & Tim (Sweep) but the ride to
Paradise after getting off the freeway is one of the most beautiful rides in the
area with lots of twists and turns and spectacular views of Mt. Rainier along
the way. It’s a good idea to bring warm clothes even this time of year due to
the high elevation and maybe some snacks & water but there will be a stop at the
top at Paradise Lodge which is a real treat.

Pass to Cle Elum to visit the local museum and have lunch at the Depot Café.
There might even be a couple of places to look around and shop but I haven’t
been there before so I’m looking forward to it. This will definitely be over
the river and through the woods but mostly all on the I-90 freeway.

This is the
annual Sue Ames Memorial Crazy Helmet Ride and it departs rain or shine. This
ride gives everyone a chance to exhibit their creative and silly side while
remembering our lost sister. Be prepared to get stared, laughed at and pointed
at by passing motorists and pedestrians. It will bring smiles to your face and
there’s. It’s always a lot of fun but last year there were quite a few coffee
stops needed due to inclement weather but no worries - it's just a ton of fun.
